Hello, I am currently a sophomore in high school (in NJ). I just started getting really serious about colleges and was wondering what I need to do or continue doing so that I can get into Ohio State.
GPA: 3.00 (All Honors, 1 AP course, 1 CP Course)
SATs: 1650 (took one test so far)
Extra Curricular Activities: Mathletes, Varsity Soccer as a sophmore

Thanks!

It saddens me that no one replied to your post. Anyway, hopefully you still continue to check back. If you are serious about getting into Ohio State (disregarding fiscal issues with being from out of state) you need to finish this last semester of your sophomore year strongly and have a very strong junior year. If you can have a good junior year and pull your cumulative GPA up to 3.4ish and bump your SAT up to 1950 range I believe you would be competitive for admission but far from a lock.

HI there: My son just got into Ohio State. We are also out of state. His GPA was about 3.3 but his SAT 1320 and ACT 29. He also, amazingly got some merit aid. He is excited. I’d say you are on track to make it.

Try to raise your GPA as much as possible. I was accepted early action with a 28 and 3.93 so work on that and also try to do some community s
