Chances of getting into OSU (Comp. Sci)

<p>Hi, I would just like to know my chances of getting into Ohio State. I plan to major in Computer Science.</p>

<p>3.9275 GPA (6th in Class of 190)
26 ACT Composite
Student Council President, National Honors Society, Key Club, World Language Club President, Football Track, Etc…</p>

<p>Also, a 4 on my AP Computer Science A, Government, 5 on US History… Have been in all honors all through high school. Ohio Resident.</p>

<p>You have a great chance at OSU Computer Science. I’m pretty sure you will get in. Only thing that is low is ACT compared to OSU average. I would recommend taking that again. But to offset that you have a lot of extracurricular activities and leadership positions! good luck!</p>

<p>Thank you so much! I am taking the ACT one last time in 3 weeks, the only thing is it will not be ready by the Nov. 1st application deadline for early action. Not sure how much of a factor it will play into OSU?? Any thoughts on this?</p>

<p>Great GPA and Class rank. Your ACT is low, but I think your other stats will get you in. Just a fair warning, they are deferring a lot of 26 and 27 ACT students every year, so this might happen to you. I still think you’ll ultimately get in though. If you can pull that up to a 28 or 29, you’re certainly in and might get a little bit of merit aid given your other strong stats.</p>

<p>Yes. the 3.9275 is weighted. Unweighted is about a 3.68.</p>

<p>Not withstanding your annoying impulse to bump this thread every day or so when you don’t get an answer, I’d say you have as much a chance as anyone of getting into OSU. Why don’t you just wait to see what the admissions office tells you rather than looking for validation on a message board. No one here is on the admissions committee.</p>
