Chances of getting into San Diego State?

I am 99% sure that I want to pursue a nursing career, and it seems that the only colleges I would really be interested to go to are Chico and San Diego State. I'm pretty sure I would be able to get into Chico with my grades, but SDSU is a little iffy and I'm not sure what my chances are. My weighted GPA is a 3.94 and my best SAT score is 1810, and the two combined is a 1820. Could anyone tell me my chances of getting into SDSU, if I applied to pre-nursing? THANKS!

San Diego State only considers your CR and M scores, so I hope that your CR+M is at least over 1100, over 1190 would probably be preferable considering how that’s the high end of average this year. Apparently it’s also becoming increasingly competitive, so I’m not too sure about your GPA. Any ECs?

^^ Do the CSUs even look at ECs?

Gosh…I don’t know about SDSU specifically for nursing, but aren’t all the Calif publics very hard to get into for nursing? Aren’t the programs impacted?

Do you know how it works at SDSU…do you apply to the school, take pre-reqs, then apply to their nursing program? Or do they have “direct admit” into their nursing program?

What are your back ups? can you afford to go out of state to other schools’ nursing programs?

What is your math + CR score? will you test again?

I don’t think the Calif publics “superscore”.

my math score is 640 and cr score is 600, and i’m planning on testing one more time. i play year round soccer and have all of high school. i’m pretty sure by the end of this semester my weighted gpa will be a 4.0 so that might help as well. and you apply right away to pre-nursing at sdsu.
