I’m new here to CC so I’m not exactly sure how the format for these things go but I guess I’ll try to give as much information as possible. So I’m a senior in high school right now and I have had my eyes on the UTCS program for a couple of years now and I know that it is one of the best CS programs in the nation. The high school I go to is in Texas and it’s not exactly the greatest of schools in the region nor is it completely horrible.
SAT: 1310 / 1600

AP classes:
-5 in calculus AB
-4 in computer science
-3 in psychology
-3 in physics
-3 in world history
I’ll be doing 7 AP classes this year, including AP CS principles
EC: Vice President of FBLA chapter( Future Business Leaders of America), Participated in UIL, National Honor Society, Attended two summer internships that were based around science/STEM careers.
I got a certification for CompTIA IT Fundamentals also, I don’t know if that will matter too much, but it is a computer related certification so maybe it could be worth something,
Anyways, do you think that I would be able to get into UT’s CS program? I will be applying this year and I am worried that I won’t be accepted because I know that it is a really hard program to get into. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated!
