Hi everyone! I applied to all of my colleges in mid-November. I applied to UCONN, URI, UMASS Amherst, Stony Brook University (SUNY), and ECSU as my safety school (I got accepted a week ago). I'm not too worried about getting into the schools, EXCEPT for UCONN. Can anyone please help me find out my chances?

My absolute top choice is UCONN. However, I'm extremely nervous about getting in. I'm extremely good at the humanities, specifically English, but my math grades and math SAT score is lacking. I got a 69% in algebra 2 last year because I really struggled in it, but my other grades have always been great. My grades were not the highest junior year (the 69%, along with a 79% in spanish 4 and in AP US history), but the rest of my 4-year transcript is all As and Bs. I still have a 3.54 unweighted GPA, plus very high grades in my English and psychology Honors and AP classes. I want to either become an elementary school teacher, or a secondary English teacher, and I noted that on the application. My mom works at UCONN at Storrs as well, so I am wondering if anyone knows if having a parent work there gives you an advantage?

My credentials:
-GPA: 3.54/4.0 unweighted scale
-AP/Honors English and History all four years
-This year, I am enrolled in an actual UCONN accredited Early College Experience English class
-SAT score: 1840 (reading: 670, writing: 670, and math: 500)
-Class rank: 43/204 (top 25%)
-Mom works at the Storrs campus
-Volunteer work at a women's shelter and at a local elementary school
-20 hours/week working at Panera
-1 year of track, 1 year of cross country
-Notable art hobby
-I'm a strong writer, so I'm assuming my personal essay is quality
-Two solid teacher recommendation letters from a close teacher and my guidance counselor (signed FERPA release to not be able to see the letters before they sent)
