chances ... any hope?

Hello everyone, I hope somebody will be able to tell me my chances of getting into storrs UCONN. I know I post before but my other thread got deleted so help me out please. I going to be a Senior thrown into the college admission process very soon so I need all the help/advice i can get :)

I will be applying Early Action

Female, Asian, In-State, Public High School

GPA: My GPA is fairly low, but I go to a pretty good public high school with dozens of kids going to UCONN every year.
9 grade- 3.0
10 grade-- 3.0
11 grade-- 2.6 ( I know, I screwed up!)
12 grades- - Will definitely be higher because i am actually taking classes that i enjoy!

Honors/ AP Classes: Honors English II, Honors English III, Honors U.S History, AP U.S History, AP Comparative Politics, Honors Economics, AP Economics, Honors Civic ... as you can see, my strengths are in English and history and i challenge myself in these areas. I have friends who have perfect A's but taking regular classes and here i am working my butt off in advance classes!

SATI: Critical Reading 550, Math 470, Writing 590 I AM TAKING THEM AGAIN! SHOULD I BOTHER TO TRY TAKING THE ACT TOO?

SAT II's: i haven’t taken any yet. SHOULD I?

AP's: 3 AP U.S, and taking APCP and AP economics exam soon.

EC's:
School newspaper: reporter, editor (10)
Student government: senator (11,12)

Volunteer:
Jr. Camp counselor (60 hours)
City wide events volunteer
Annual campus cleanup

Awards:
Honor Roll
Who's who among high school students

Summer Activities:
This summer I went to the UCONN Mentor Connection Program in Storr for 3 weeks. I did very well in the program and am getting awarded 3 credits! =)

Work Experience:
I work a lot. 45+ hours a week for the past 4 years so that pretty much explains why i couldn’t do better in school.

Essay:
Pretty good.

Recommendation:
Pretty good.

Intended Major: Undecided but perhaps international relations or political science as you can see by the classes i take and the activities i participated in.

This wont probably help but i have live in UCONN for 3 weeks, been to the campus tour, and am even going to the open house in September. Is there anything more i can do? I am so afraid i wont get in =(

What other schools should i appy to? I am open to suggestions for other schools. Thanks a lot!

no chance....sorry....but you can go to a cc for a year or so and then transfer in.

its a big reach for you, but go ahead and apply anyways- the earlier you get your application in the better. other schools you might want to look at: u. hartford, one of the other state unis (central, southern, eastern), umass, uri

Depends on what school you are coming from I know people from my own high school who got in with lower grades and scores, but this was now 2 years ago. Try, you never know, or if not go to one of the state uni's.

I would try applying. Don't bother taking SAT II's or ACT, UCONN doesn't look at them.
