Chances of getting into UCSC

<p>Hi all. Im new here. I was just wondering: What are my chances of getting into UCSC if:</p>

<p>overal a-g GPA: 3.1
SAT: 1850
(havent taken the subject tests yet)</p>

<p>Also, I was wondering: which cal states are be considered "above" UCSC when it comes to their computer science/engineering program? Thanks.</p>

<p>I don't know about admission chances.</p>

<p>Cal Poly (San Luis Opisbo) is the ONLY California state college/university which MIGHT be better than UCSC's in computer science and engineering. This is because you listed the two majors together. I suspect that more are as good or better in engineering alone.</p>

<p>Cal Poly used to be better, even significantly so, than UCSC in computer science and engineering but UCSC has gotten much, much better in those recently.</p>
