<p>hi i was wondering what my chances of getting into ucsd are.
SAT score: 640 math , 530 cr, 550 writing
SAT 2 score: did not take it yet
GPA: 3.6 weighted
extracurricular: math club vp, men's league 3 years (community service), csf, key club, volunteer at boy's and girls club/library, tennis 4 years, basketball 1 year, soccer 1 year.
AP test scores: Calculus ab 5 and us history 3</p>

<p>UCSD is out of reach. UCSD's average admit has a GPA well over 4.0 and SAT's of almost 2000. Focus on attempting to get into a mid tier UC such as Irvine, Santa Barbara, or Davis. </p>

<p>Apply under an unimpacted major to increases your changes. Avg gpa/Sat include those who apply under engineering and other highly impacted majors so therefore their gpa/sats should be higher. Try and retake the Sats and keep your grades up for this semester in case they ask for rec/1st semester grades (UCB asked me last year, good thing i didn't get senioritis =P). Good Luck.</p>
