Guys give it to me straight in a % chance of getting into the University of Maryland and possibly if you know anything about it their engineering school... and ideas on how to improve my chances would be greatly appreciated

You're pretty much in- in-stater, above the range in math, in the range for verbal, you are slightly above the GPA average, and good ECs and recs. You will definately get into the university, though I can't say anything about the engineering program, as I'm not familiar with it. As long as you meet the test scores and GPA, you're in, since it's such a big school.

couple more %'s if you could as ive lost sleep cuz this is like seriously what ive dreamed of for 2 years. Also, anyone have any insight as to what the finding your niche questions refer to.

Since you are instate, and you certainly have a strong GPA and Ec's i would be foolish to say you would not be accepted. Your SAT's in same areas is a bit low, but enough to get you in. I think you should be worried about if you will get accepted into the honors program or not than, being accepted to begin with. The honors program is really the only reason why you should attend. If you end up getting scholars just go to you daddy's filingcabinet pick up his revolver and off yourself in your room. .........no dont do that...i was just kidding. i am pretty sure if you type up a mean essay, you will get honor, write an average one and get scholars. Both are good, but we all know which one is better. Maryland's Honor Program is by far one of the best in the country .thats not coming from me, i think it was ARCO's guide to honors colleges, eitherway, its probably the best in the country. Actually in comparison to Hopkin's Honor Program, our students have Higher SAT's and GPA's. So YES WERE UBER SMART!! SMARTER THAN SMELLY HOPKIN KIDS lol jk. anyways GL, im sure youll get in, and be accepted to either of them.

in that case what are my chances at honors - I literally have the poster for it on my wall and its a dream. Anyone know what you should write in the finding your niche section to up your chances at that

do you know what you should answer in the finding your niche section to help get honors or gemstones. Its my dream. UMD is my #1 as it is and that would just make it so much better
