Chances of getting into University of Illinois UC

<p>Hello all,</p>

<pre><code> After graduating high school I attended NIU for one semester and then dropped out and joined the Army. In the Army, I received an AD in North Carolina and learned to listen/speak Arabic. I am a Green Beret and I will be getting out of the Army June 2014 after 6 1/2 years of service.

<p>In high school, I maintained a 4.3 on a 5.0 scale and played football/track. I can't recall my SAT score, but my ACT is 26. I had straight A's for my AD, but I don't think the degree would benefit my goals at UIUC.</p>

<p>Would my service make up for the low scores I have from high school? I want to study finance.</p>

<p>I know this isn't a lot of information to go off of, but I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks!</p>

<p>Otherwise, did you fill a management role in any capacity during your tour of duty? Maybe that could help.</p>
