So admission decisions will probably come by the end of next week and I am stressing if I will get in because U of O is my top choice! I was wondering what anyone thinks of my chances of getting in are (put on holistic app review at the end of January).
SAT–1710 (improved from 1570 the first time)
GPA-3.2
My grade trend has definitely improved since frosh and sophomore year I was immature and did not focus much. But junior year I stepped it up and took multiple AP classes and got B’s in all of them and finished junior year with a 3.6. I played sports for two years and have done volunteer work.
I know that my essays on the application were really good and I was able to do the special circumstances essay that they have and I got in contact with a staff member at U of O and he said he believes I will get admitted but I am just looking for more opinions since I really want to get admitted so bad! If I don’t, I will end up going to SJSU which is great as well but I’d much rather go to Oregon!
It’ll probably come down to how many AP classes you took and how your extracurriculars are viewed by the committee. If an adcom at U of O said you’ll probably get in, then you seem to have an okay chance.
You said you got in contact with someone a UofO and they think that you will likely get in, that’s going to be better than what anyone on here can tell you.
Also, you can’t change anything about you application at this point, so just play the waiting game

Thanks! Ya I hope so too, I believe I can because San Jose State and CSU’s only go off numbers and don’t even have essays on the applications and I got into their and surprisingly they had a lower acceptance rate than Oregon. But ya, just gotta wait lol!
Wait list! So I made a deposit on San Jose State but I’ll get the wait list decision for oregon in June
I am happy with SJSU. Visited it and had a great experience but I am going to keep my options open!
