Waitlisted

Does anyone have any info about the waitlist at U of O? It is my first choice and I think I'll wait, but if it's hopeless I need to make another choice...

Could you give us your stats?

I have a 3.0. I am in the top 30% of my class and I got a 20 on my ACT’s. I played tennis, certified lifeguard, consistent volunteer work and employment. I am a legacy and have 3 good letters of rec.
Thanks for wiriting~

It’s a tough call. It seems many universities this year lengthened their waiting lists because they’re finding it unpredictable how many people will actually accept admission offers. If I were you I’d call or email admissions and reiterate your interest. It can’t hurt! With a 3.0 and a 20 ACT you have hope. Good luck.

Thanks for the pep talk. I did talk to the admissions counselor and offically placed my name on the wiatlist ( they ask you to formally repond to their waitlist offer). Now , I wait. I just wondered if anyone knew how many students from last years waitlist were accepted.

i think this is the second year they have the waitlist
i to got waitlisted
3.0 gpa 1600 sats

Did you stay on the waitlist or choose another school?

stayed on
its still my number 1 choice

How optimistic are you? Do you know how many students are on the waitlist?

im taking it as a rejection
and im not sure how many people are on the waitlist
i called but they would not tell me

So where are you going to attend? my back up is SF State or CA State San Marcos.

FYI…I got in !

Great! That’s really good news!

Thanks, I’m really happy.

I’m really happy for you. Congratulations, and GO Ducks!

you already heard from them?
how did they notify you?

Just got in the Journalism Dept. and school.

Dear 1sd619: I found out on my DuckWeb Application Status

did it say admission offered?
does that mean i got in?

You can always give Admissions a quick call. I’m sure they’d be happy to clarify for you. Or post a note on the UO Admissions Facebook page. They seem to answer questions quickly.
