All my family and friends are telling me I should have no problem getting in but I still worry because I want it so bad!
I've been a high honor student since Freshman year. I applied SUPER early to Pitt (today I sent in my transcript+supplemental info) to increase my chances. I finished the year with a 4.0 weighted, 3.5 unweighted I think. I took AP English, AP US History, College in the High School physics, and regular math (I suck at math.) I started the year rough and gave up on physics until mid year when I had a D in her class. I have NEVER gotten a D in anything. She inspired me to work hard, I'd seek her out for help, and ended up getting an A the 3rd quarter and B the 4th!! :D She wrote me a letter of rec, along with my AP US History teacher that is also a professor at Duquesne, a college near Pitt. I wrote my essay about Syria and my volunteer work, and how Syria use to be beautiful and how it's hell now, and my family goes without water and electricty for days, and I mention my volunteer work and how we may live in a hopeless world at times but I try to be the good in it and change lives for the best.

I volunteer year round. During the summer at Magee Women's Hospital (on Pitt's campus) for my 4th year now and during the school year as a tutor for k-2nd grade kids (3 years now) as well as an ESL tutor (I speak Arabic) and I sing at a hospital during the holidays and play bingo with residents, as well as volunteer at a local church to raise money for local needy families.

Oh, adn my SAT score, the 2nd time: 1700 ): it's about the average for a Pitt student, but I'm upset about it haha. 460 Math, 670 Writing, 570 Reading
