So I was wondering how likely my chances are to get accepted as a transfer. Also I would like to know some tips on what I can improve on the heighten my chance of getting in. I am planning to transfer Fall of 2015 so I still have a whole year left ahead of me.

I go Collin County Community College
I am expecting a GPA of 3.9 by the end of this Spring Semester (I still have to take Calc 2, 3 as well as Calc-based Physics 1,2 which could lower my GPA)
I am planning to transfer to either A&M or Cockrell School of Engineering for Petroleum Engineering
I don't have much extra circular activities from school, but I do volunteer at a nursing home for our church congregation as well as teach kids. Also I am currently enlisted as a Army Reservist.
I am planning to get either 2 or 3 letter of recommendations from at least one of my Calc professor, and one from my Calc-based Physics professor. I could also get recommendations from my military commands.

Thanks a bunch, and I would love to be part of the Longhorn family.
