I go to one of the best school districts in Texas which makes the school very competitive and so I’m only in the top quarter. However, I also transferred schools junior year and wasn’t given the same opportunity to take 5.0 classes like I would have had if I had been here since freshman year (this was mentioned in my application). My SAT is 1380 and I have a few clubs like NHS and MUN and girl scouts. I haven’t reached gold in girl scouts but am working on it (which is also on my application). Would they accept me? Also, are the classes really that difficult? Like is it hard to maintain a high gpa? Are classes at TAMU easier?
ngl if youre not in the top 15% at least and/or have a 1450 your chances are kinda low but its all based on your major. if you picked engineering/business/architecture, its closer to 10%. if you picked something in the liberal arts field, it gets drastically higher
what is your ethnicity? gpa? and do you have any notable things on your resume besides girl scouts and NHS?
Classes aren’t easier at TAMU.
However, being top quarter and having a 1380 mean your odds are very low even if you applied to a less requested major.
I would recommend you apply to private colleges that will be holistic, IE they will take into account the rigor of your schedule and how competitive your school is.
