I am currently a senior in high school in texas. What are my chances of getting into UTD or TAMU Mechanical Engineering?

Rank: 65/345 (top 20%)
SAT: 1320 (690 Math, 630 Eng)
AP classes taken: 14 (passed 11)
Presidential Service award for volunteering

Not sure about engineering - but my daughter got into ATEC with similar scores, lower class rank, but a 3 or above on all AP tests (4 so far and 4 more to come). So I think UTD will be a yes.

Texas A&M will be more of a reach. You can be an auto admit or an academic admit to the university and still not get engineering. All engineering candidates are subject to holistic review.
