I am going to be a senior next year and I am very worried about getting into Virginia tech engineering.
My GPA wieghted- 4.17
APs taken - world history, us history, chemistry, calculus AB
APs I am taking next year- government, physics C mechanics, calculus BC, literature, computer science
SAT - CR 610 Math 780, total 1390
ACT- English 28, Math 34, Reading 30, Science 35, composite 32
ECs- spanish club 3 years, math club 2 years, physics club 1 year, BETA club 2 years
My extra curriculars are really lacking I know that but do I still have a good chance of getting in. Also should I do early decision or apply regularly? Thanks!
Check the CDS, most important is the first time, first year part:

If you are in state I think you have a good chance but engineering is harder to get in to. There is a VA Tech forum here with lots of discussion on how to get in to engineering if you are rejected but offered “university studies.”
I go to Virginia Tech now, but I’m a Statistics and CMDA major, but from what I’ve heard from my friends in Engineering, you have a solid chance. I’ve kind of gotten the idea that Tech looks more at the SAT and ACT sections in math than actual math grades. The fact that you’re in BC Calc and Physics should help a lot. Good Luck! Virginia Tech is and AMAZING school!
