I will have taken 6 honors courses, 7 APs, and currently have an unweighted GPA of 3.65. I've been on the track and field team and the cross country team for two years, and have been varsity for one. I've been in dance since I was five, and have a lot of community service under my belt. I just took the ACT for the first time and got a 32 w/out prep, and am aiming for a 34 or higher. I also work two jobs, and I'm a first-generation American born Pacific Islander.

My goal schools are UCLA and UCSD, and I'm also looking into UChicago and Columbia.

Are you in-state for California?

what about for privates?

Statewide eligibility only tells you you can get in somewhere, not usually top tier. Have you calculated your UCGPA? Other things that seem important for “top” UC’s are number of A-G’s in excess of required, and number of weighted classes. Check this out.
