Hi!
(List of Schools at Bottom)
Please chance me! I’m interested in Architecture and its theoretical/ philosophical implications, and have been since I was a small boy. I’m from Maryland, and attend MCPS, a large feeder into Cornell, but please consider the out of state factor here. I am a rising senior, however, so please keep in mind anything you see below will be improved to varying degrees by application time. In terms of architecture, I am most interested in conceptual, theoretical side of things, which I apply to buildings and practical things of my own-- which I noticed to be a common theme with architects.
(Again, I am entering senior year)
GPA: 3.76
WGPA: 4.40
SAT: 2280
APs taken: AP US Gov’t, AB Calc, Lang, Bio
APs that will be completed be the end of high school: Physics (EM), Lit, Spanish Lit, BC calc, Art History.
Current Math Class: Multi Variable Calculus
Classes taken out of HS: Some architecture MIT online courses
Work History: Architecture firm summer internship since 8th grade, and entering two others in NYC.
Note: My art skills are not super great, but I have very strong concepts that I can apply to them, and a booklet of roughly 300 to 400 architectural concepts (as well as a traditional sketchbook), not all of which have directly to do with architecture (which I am told is good). I need much preparation in terms of the portfolio, so if anyone wants to show me some examples of their own, or successful ones (or both) that would be much appreciated.
