Chances of me going into a UC?

<p>Hi, I'm a junior in High school and I'm really worried I won't be able to get into a UC with my grades and extras that I have right now. However, I do know people that have gotten into a UC (UC Davis) with a 2.8. I'm not sure if this is possible because I have only a 2.7 and a 1500 SAT score right now. The 2.7 is from my AP/Honors courses that happened to lower my GPA. I'm hoping my SAT score will rise once I retake it since it was my first time and my extra curricular (leadership, sports and club positions) will be able to boost my chance as well. I really want to go to UCLA or Davis to major in Graphic Design or Med. Science, but right now there seems such a slim chance. Is there any chance I could get in if I worked really hard for the up coming second semester? I'm taking the AP exams for US History, Biology and Art History in the spring as well. </p>

<p>If your grades improve by a lot, you will definitely have a chance at some of the lower UC’s. Davis might be a reach, but there are other UC’s! Try to study a bit more for the SAT and maybe retake it? Also if you do well on the AP tests, you’ll have a much higher chance.</p>
