Chances of my girlfriend (Intl Student) from U of A to transfer to UCI, UCSD, UCLA Thank ya!

hello guys! I am a long member of this website and have been using this for a long time! Last time i used this was when I i was before freshman in college! Its great to see it going strong and well! I graduated at the University of Arizona! Anyways my girlfriend is trying to transfer to California schools as an international student. She currently goes to U of A, and has applied for ucsd, uci, ucla. She is worried lol. I think she has a good shot i am biased tho :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for the feedback. And also because she is from Korea, an international student. Is it harder to get in because she is not from california like us? Or do they like that cus they pay like 3x the amount of tuition haha

GPA: 3.8 U of A 61 units applied for: UCI business admin, ucla communications, ucsd i forgot lol

my dream school was ucla because I applied to a bunch of UC’s when i was in high school, so if she gets in i would be proud of her! i know its a longshot lol!

also finished core business courses, econ, acc, calc with an A, BUT she is taking english that is lower level than average so i hope that is able to transfer. On the application we had to check in the box stating she took international english courses instead of regular? Im not sure how different international apps and cc transfers are

I just hope she is able to get into 1 please! lol I pray to Christ above!

both majors for uci and ucla you mentioned are impacted. private schools get last priority for transfer, so keep that in mind. Her GPA is alright, but i feel like the UCs would accept CCC students with the same GPA over your girlfriend just because they get first priority. Regarding the English class, I believe you need to have had taken the first and second level English class-equivalent prior to transferring, so that might affect her chances, but you never know. good luck

yes thank you, she is sad and stressed her gpa is only 3.849 :frowning: Hope to find out in couple weeks!
