I am a student at a really competitve top 20 school looking to transfer to CU. I need to transter because I’m just really unhappy here and I want to go back home. However, I’m really worried about getting in. Though I’m from a competitive school, my cumulative GPA is a 2.82. I explained some of it in my essays, which I thought were well written!
I also did research there over summer, and I’m getting an excellent letter of recommendation from a professor that works there. My EC’s are also pretty good, and I presented myself well overall. I also applied pretty early.
I’m just freaking out about my GPA right now. I know that the minimum GPA to be considered for admission is a 2.5, but I don’t know if a 2.8 is competitive. They do assure CC students with a 2.7 guaranteed admisison, which gives me hope because I’m transferring with something higher than that from a well known university.
Should I be worried about admission? I’m not sure if I even stand a chance.
