Chances of Transfering into Rutgers Newark for Spring 2011?

I used to be a student at NJIT, but transfered to a local CC because I screwed up immensely. My GPA at NJIT was horrible, under 2.0, but at the CC for one semester, I did a bit better and got a 3.2, bringing my total GPA up to a 2.3. I had a 1670 on the SAT when I graduated HS. I know I don't have a good chance at all to get in, but what do you guys think are my chances?

Also, is it too late to talk to my advisor at the CC and get them to not transfer my credits over from NJIT, so I can basically start anew at the CC? Please help, I'm in a horrible spot here.

you might have a better chance at the NB campus, being that they are bigger and take more applicants. you could always transfer from school to school. apply to both, write a GOOD essay (it matters) and even if you don’t get in spring 2011 semester, they will work with you and you’ll get in fall 2011 as long as you keep up your gpa.

Any more help guys?

And do my chances really INCREASE if I apply to NB?
