Chances of transferring from CU Boulder to UT Austin sophomore year?

Is this doable? I want to transfer to Austin eventually, but Boulder is good too if I dont get in. How common is transferring into (any part of) UT Austin? Any details would be great.

Transferring is very common. As long as your GPA and ECs look good, and you fulfill the transfer requirements (at least 30 credits) then being accepted as a transfer should fairly easy. There’s a large thread for transfers that should be very helpful (and more specific) for you. :)

If you are in-state for Colorado, do not transfer. You will be hit hard financially.

If you are OOS for both, then its up to you. Try to get 3.5+ GPA.

UT Austin is very competitive. Admissions consists of 75% incoming freshman and the remaining 25% are transfer students. Keep your GPA high or work to get it as high as you can. GPA is the most important consideration for transfer admissions. Volunteer work and extracurricular activities will definitely help. According to what people are saying on here, COLA and CNS are easier to be accepted into than other colleges. Good luck!

Darn. I meant freshmen instead of freshman.
