My reasoning for wanting to transfer are largely geographical (Saint Louis is very far from RI!).

My Stats:
SAT: 2370; 800 reading; 800 writing; 770 Math
Subject Tests: 740 Math II; 740 Chemistry; 740 Literature

High School GPA: 94 weighted. This is just under the top 10% and probably why I didn’t get into Brown the first time around. My senior year grades are nearly perfect though.

College Gpa: ??? will be as high as possible.

High school: lots of extracurriculars/volunteering; will probably have a little less in college.

Do people applying from WashU often get into Brown?!?!?

You should probably give WUSTL a chance before committing to trying to transfer.

My understanding is that it’s generally harder to get accepted as a transfer than as a freshman, but that’s not something I’ve really looked into.

Transferring is not about finding greener pastures, transferring is about leaving behind a pasture that is toxic. In other words, the only reason to leave WUSTL is because you dislike it so much that it is affecting your grades and/or general well being.

Is STL truly too far or are you just having pre-college jitters? If you truly think it will be too far away, why did you apply in the first place?
