How hard is it to transfer into ECU? My S was not accepted as freshman--low SAT scores, F in a math class, but still graduated with a 3.89 from hs. Now in 2nd semester of college, first semester GPA 3.03. Wants very badly to go to ECU. Does he stand a chance? Should he work on community service or anything this summer? ECU site states have to have 30 sh to transfer in, is this hard fast rule or should he go ahead and apply now? Sorry for the many questions, just want to give him best advice. Thanks

If he applied his senior year I’m assuming he was eligible to enroll pending his decision. Because of this all he needs are: 6 credit hours of English (101, & 102), and college algebra (1065). He has to have a cumulative of 30 hours but honestly I applied with 27 and they accepted me.

Tell you son to apply now. He’ll get a letter saying his admission will be decided once he gets his spring grades. I would say if you end up receiving that letter you have an 80% of being accepted.

And if you want to be 100% sure on admission have him complete community service and continuously update ecu through their admissions email.

Outer banks or Wilmington?

Thank you so much! Should he go ahead and make contact with the admissions office? Just to let them know, hey I still want to be a Pirate. Or wait until he has actually applied again?

SOBX…:)
