Chances of transferring to UC Davis?

<p>Hey guys. I'm looking to get some feedback and so glad I've found these forums, because I've been driving myself nuts since November. I'm wondering what you think my chances are of getting into Davis as a transfer student this fall. </p>

<p>My GPA is 2.92, which is a little low, but that's due to a prolonged illness that had me in the hospital for finals during Spring 2010, and basically tanked my grades. However, I explained that and the fact that Fall 2010 was the first semester in a while where I wasn't sick (I managed a 4.0 taking 16 units) so I don't know how much that will be taken into consideration. I've also done all of the IGETC and lower division courses for my major (Anthropology), which is non-impacted, and I think the personal statement was pretty strong.</p>

<p>What do you think? I can include more info if I've forgotten anything relevant.</p>

<p>Your GPA is like you said, low. But considering you’ve got IGETC and pre-reqs done, that helps. And you’ve explained your GPA in your application, that gives the adcoms perspective on what you’ve experienced and been through.</p>
