Chances on summer and fall?

<p>I checked the option for summer but would rather just do fall. pennstate isn't my first choice but it is high up on the list. I feel like I made a mistake doing the summer option, any thoughts? I had a decent essay, two great recommendations as well</p>

<h1>28 in 410 students, top 10%</h1>

<p>5 Honors classes 9th grade, 4 Honors in 10th and 11th, 3 AP (Biology, English and Calculus) and 1 Honors (Anatomy) for 12th</p>

<p>EC:
4 years volleyball, 4 years track & field (captain), 2 years basketball (9th and 10th), Physics Team, Technology Students assiociation, around 25-50hrs of community service (Sports camps for children and special education children). Also part of National Honors Society</p>

<p>Worked two part time jobs between junior year and now. First job as a waitress, worked for about 6 months averaging 35hr/week. Second job from this summer as retail at the mall averaging 15-20hrs/week</p>

<p>If you applied for fall but checked the option for summer, you will only be offered summer if you didn’t make the"cut" for fall admission</p>

<p>yes I know but is it still possible to check the option for summer and still get in for just fall?</p>

<p>I didn’t think it was possible to just apply for summer. I think it’s more of a last resort for most applicants that didn’t make it for fall. If you selected the option for summer you will be first try to put you in the fall semester. Then if that doesn’t work you’ll get the option of going to summer. </p>

<p>Also if you didn’t select summer session and still got accepted, then you can request to take the summer session.</p>
