Chances on top schools? (Especially Rice)

First: sorry for the revision; I figured broadening my range would just help me figure out where my stats are. My second choice school is UChicago. Rice has been my dream school for a very long time! I love the environment, the campus is beautiful, and I feel like I would probably be a good fit for the school. I have done my interview and campus tour and plan to apply early decision. I have a 2260 SAT but a low gpa (3.6 unweighted) because sophomore year I switched ADD meds and they gave me constant headaches and severe depression; I was not switched again until the end of the year. I have not taken the ACT yet but I am going to. Subject SAT scores: World History-740 US History-710 Literature: 740 Chem: 750

Thank you guys! :)

I think you have great chances at both colleges esp if ur doing early action

Why thanks, also…bumping.

Bump time is now?

Goshdarnit, you guys.

Bump! D:

How competitive is your high school? What do think about your future major/etc.?
Considering what I can assume you have a good chance to attend, especially with early action; however, I can’t exactly tell what you devote the most of your time to and the extent of accomplishment for a bunch of these activities.
Also, you may want to watch out for the GPA (according to <a href=“BigFuture College Search”>BigFuture College Search) and be sure to write the essay well (:

My high school is very competitive. Hm, I should probably elaborate. Debate, my 2 main volunteer jobs, and swimming eat up most of my time (ranked nationally in both swimming and debate). And thanks for your help! I really hope I can get in!

I know this is annoying but I’d really like opinions!

I think you have a very, very good chance honestly. You have a very diverse background, good test scores and your ECs are pretty outstanding. If I were you, I wouldn’t even worry about it.
btw, (just a suggestion) I wouldn’t bother taking the ACT. A 2260 SAT is already great, plus Rice superscores SAT scores, so imo you’d be better off taking the SAT again and hoping to increase some of your individual scores to end up with a higher SAT total.

Thank you so much! I would consider doing so, but I already paid for the next ACT. HOWEVER, I’m signed up for the next SAT anyways. THANK YOU!

Btw, I’ll chance you guys back! :)

Please? :)

10 char bump!

Or more, ya know ;)
