Hey guys i really would like to attend either Ohio State or Penn State please tell me what kind of shot you think I have at getting into both

3.45 Weight GPA
1870 SAT- 1270 2 score
3 year letterman varsity football all conference award winner
SADD member, Graphics club member, Hands for service member
2 years school baseball, varsity letter
I worked a job throughout high school
I got a 4 on both my AP Us History test and my AP gov tests
14 Honors/AP/CHS classes throughout highschool
I attend a competitive high school

You’re competitive (a little low for UP, you should have a 3.6 for that SAT score) but what’s your state? Because one of these two will be out of state and OOS costs are very high and not/rarely covered by financial aid since the point of admitting OOS students over In State students is to get their money.
So you may well get in but be unable to attend because you wouldn’t have the money (and remember, you’re only allowed to borrow $5,500 yourself for your first year.)

I live in Pittsburgh, so Penn State would be in-state for me. I have looked into the National Buckeye Scholarship which requires you to be top 40% of your class and have a 1260 2 score and then grants you 12,000 a year for 4 years. From what ive heard almost all who are eligible get it
