chances? (play admittance officer!)

i just visited tufts a month or so ago and fell madly in love with it. it's absolutely perfect, from the suburban setting to the courses to the global envolvement push to the picnicking professors. and, in boston, there are seasons(something rarely seen in northern california).

anyway, here's my life in stats:

SAT I: 2190 (2210 with highest in each cat)
SAT II: English Lit = 750 Math II = 780 Chemistry = 710 French = 670 (eep)
ACT: 33

GPA: 4.5ish(weighted) and 3.8ish(unweighted)
Rank: top 5% = 14ish/290 (very competative class with inflated gpas, not to mention all the classes i enjoyed tended to lack honors credits)

all classes that had the possibility to be honors were taken with a full 7 classes a year load.

AP classes taken:
AP Chem
APUSH
AP Calc BC
AP French Lang
AP English Lit

and next year's APs:
AP Eng Lit
Multivariable Calc (well... college credit but no AP status)
AP Physics
(french lit is not offered at our school so i'll be taking a lower level course through community edu to keep up with the language)

other classes of interest:
journalism (10-12... layout designer this year + editor next year)

worked at ophangage in india (hoping it improved my hindi)

jobs + internships:
interned at Kaiser Hospital as a Medical Assistant in ENT and ophtamology for 8 weeks
work at French tutor for middle schoolers
hoping to get internship in fall at planned parenthood and work at kaiser once i turn 18.

sports:
varsity tennis (10-12)
tennis camp (summer before 10 and 11)
(i do tennis a lot over the summer for something to the effect of 10+ hours per week)

various other factors:
single mother household (father died of cancer)
low income
indian female
will have good recs and hopefully my essay will pan out well but shrug

might have forgotten a few things along the way... but that's the gist of it.

so, what do you say? is there anything else i can do?

I think you have a good shot! All I can say is make your essays interesting and from the heart, and show as much interest in the school as possible - visiting, info sessions, interview, etc. :)

Good luck!
