Ok I have all my requirements set, I have taken all the classes I need to take. All honors and 5 APs

My SAT scores: 660 math, 540 CR, 560 writing

I have run cross country for 3 years and am now the captain of the team.

I have a little bit over 100 hours of community service.

However my problem is my GPA. my weighted is 3.48, unweighted is 2.75. ya im pretty ashamed of my unweighted.

I do plan on retaking my SAT in october, and then sending IU my improved scores, but as of right now that are my chances of getting into IU,

You’ll get into UD with no problem. If you’re trying for Kelley than it might be a little bit of a stretch.

I disagree with the person above me… I think it’s a reach with a 2.75 unweighted

Well I got in with similar stats. However my high school was top 5 in the state (NY) so I’m not sure if that matters.

With a 2.75 UW I’d say low reach. SAT score is within the range of admitted applicants, so that’s good. You’re lucky that IU takes the highest GPA on the transcript.

bball93, where are you from? If your from the east/west coasts you have a greater chance of admission. Are you a URM? this will also play into your admissions result.

With the information you’ve provided me, I would say your chances are 50/50. Your SAT scores are in par with the IU admissions rates. I would be more worried about your GPA, although you’ve taken a difficult course load… you want to keep on showing improvements in class.
