I am the first person in my family to go to college in the US so both my family and I are very stressed. Please tell me what you think of my chances at the Ivy League schools especially U Penn (for Wharton), Northwestern, University of Chicago, Wash U in St. Louis, MIT, Caltech, Berkley. I plan on majoring in business.

Here are some of my stats:

White Male (came from Europe right before 7th grade)

SATs
Math IIC: 800
Chem: 770 (not sure if it's worth retaking)
will take the French next time

ACT with writing: 35

GPA UW: 4.0
GPA W: 5.0
Rank: 2/610

I have taken 5 honors classes this year and an additional 2 APs. Next year I will have 7 APs and one honors class.

I can almost speak four languages :)

ECs: NHS, Math Honors Society, French Honors Society (Treasurer), Chess team ( man is it fun), Math Team, Relay for Life, Doing a fund raiser for My Lai peace park in Vietnam, over 100 hours at local hospital (probably 150 by the end of the summer), other things that I can't remember right now

you might have a good chance if ou have a killer essay and if you are able to stand out in the pool of applicants by being or saying something unique and please dont quote me but it worked for me!! Good luck

Your scores are fantastic, but are you a US citizen? Do you need aid? These factors will affect your chances.
BTW, UChicago does not offer a business major, but they do have a great economics department.

I am us citizen and probably won't need aid although I would like some.
I know about U Chicago, and if I would go there finance would probably be my major.

personally i think your chances are good. your scores are great and i think your ECs are pretty good too. there's really no way to tell with the ivies or the other schools you're applying to, because they're all very competive, but i think your chances are good.

You have great stats and decent ECs. I think you should be in NU, UChi, WUSTL, and Berkeley. The other schools are significantly more competitive and I'd expect you in at 1 or 2 at most. If I were you, do something interesting over the summer like starting a business (Wharton likes that stuff). Don't retake chem lol and you might want to add another SAT II to show you are well rounded. If you like Wharton, consider ED, I would say you would have a pretty good shot if you used your ED card. Also, do you play Starcraft (it's from your username)
