Chances please for umich,rice,georgiatech,Purdue,UIUC and Cornell

I am a student from India. I will be applying this fall
Intended majors : Computerscience or computer engineering
Not applying for aid.</p>

<p>Standardized scores
SAT gave in October ( somewhere around mid 2000)
SAT Subjects - math level 2 760, physics 790, chemistry 750
AP- Calculus 5, Physics C 5 ( no courses offered at my school )
Toefl - 112</p>

<p>ECs
1 Authored a research paper in mathematics, got certified from a university
2 Represented my state in cricket tournaments
3 Taught mathematics to underprivileged girls ( more than 500 hours)
4 President of math club at my school.
5 volunteer work in my society
6 Many Olympiad certificates ( no international though )</p>

<p>Essays
Personal statements - I think are pretty good
Recommendations - I think they will be good.. Ferpa waived</p>

<p>What do you mean by mid 2000 in SAT? Don’t you have a better defined practice score? The max in SAT is in mid 2000.</p>

<p>How is your GPA?
SAT at 2010-2070 is around the 25th percentile for UMich overall admission. CR+M at 1400 is also a little bit below average for CoE. For international student, CoE at UMich would be a reach for you. Note that the current admission rate is around 20%.
UIUC CS is extremely competitive. Other engineering is similar to UMich in admission stat.
Cornell and Rice are reaches.
Purdue may be a high match to match for you.</p>

<p>I had a perfect cgpa in 10th and now I represent top 10 percent of my high school ( out of 350) and is SAT the only important aspect in the application ?.. I have everything in my application except that God damn SAT marks and correction my cr+ math will be above 1480 … Math 780</p>
