I’m applying to Brown as an international relations major. My UW GPA is a 3.7, and my scores consist of a 2090 SAT and 30 ACT. Despite my lackluster scores, I’ve taken the most rigorous course-load, have REALLY unique ECs, and wrote solid essays. I am also a first-generation college student. However, the first semester of my junior year was rough (I had 4 Bs)–but I represented resilience my second semester achieving all As with the exception of calc. I have done well this semester also with a B in Stat (math is not my thing)–and have taken all APs aside from journalism.
Brown has the reputation of being the most holistic of the bunch, and I really love it. Through my ECs, I’ve demonstrated my interests with great passion. Do I stand a chance?
