No one can get into Harvard with an SAT score in the 1100's unless they are a national champion in something, which I doubt your friend was. Even for URM's, legacies, and athletes, such a low SAT score would not be favored by the Harvard adcoms.

How is the Harvard MUN conference? I've wanted to take my club to a college conference for the last 2 years now, but we never seem to find the time. If you could tell me a lil bit I could forward your input to my advisor and he can make a decision for next year. Thanks

I agree with Lmell.

A lot of Asians and international applicants tend to ace the math section. But the verbal is regarded more important since strong reading skills are vital for any major, and the math section only tests high school-level math. Real college math, from calculus onward, is is a step above the SAT I math.

Harvard MUN is not as good as Berkley. There are way too many people and so speaking times are really limited...it defintley depends on the comittee but the one I was in, I was literally on the speaking list for days without speaking...anyway, its very competive but still a lot of fun...I recommend it, but if you can make it to Berkley or UMMUN (University of Michigan) the smaller sizes makes debate much more lively and intense.

you act like I'm lying. She was a semi-finalist for Intel but then again i go to the worst school in NYC..maybe thats why..I swear to God she got into all those things i mentioned..whats my reason for lying?..Dear..I have no reason to lie.
