10 AP courses is impressive. Do you have any AP exam scores yet? Any chance you can take the SAT again in Jan. and REALLY prep hard for it since thats your weak point? Did you try the ACT? Its offered in Feb.

It's two years of core classes (You take the same thing at pretty much all schools anyway) and transfer after two years to the regular school. So pretty much no major til junior year.

OP, Look at the post titled "rule of thimb chances stats" and you'll see the difference in admissions averages for CAS vs regular BU 4 yr colleges. It seems you took an overly rigorous course load and may have been better off scaling the APs back so they would include the ones where you are sure to pass the exam . That may ahve allowed more time for SAT prep.

Check with BU but if you can really pull up your SAT 1 not 2 scores for DEc. or Jan. if Dec. isn't up to par and get them to BU via the "rush scores" option that might help. Don't bother retaking the Lit SAT 2.

Well I wouldn't say hopeless but more that the SAT 1 is what would really boost his chances. I also wondered if he might to better on an SAT 2 subject where he had already done well with the AP exam. When will you get your latest SAT 1 scores?

do not go cgs. no, no, h*ll no. based on your classes, you wouldn't fit in and i'd trust me on this. sat scores are not the end all be all and i don't know if they need sat 2 results ... i didn't send mine anyway. your course load will definitely be taken into account so basically don't go cgs and i think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. good luck!
