*I'm not sure how they'll look at these classes being taken at college rather than taking AP courses, but my school is small and not very many AP classes are taken. The government classes I'm hoping will look good for my intended major, and the professor wrote an amazing recommendation saying I was the top of his class among seniors in college. He also wrote that I was writing legal briefs good enough to be a first year law student which is what I hope to go into.

EC's: Piano (9 Years), Track & Cross Country (6 years, several conference and county awards), Student Council/Government (3 year Class President - 1 Year Student Body President), Science Club (Treasurer), Web Site Editor, National Honors Society (Treasurer), French Club (Vice-President), Library Volunteer

Essays: Essays were written extremely well, but weren't as creative as some of the ones on here. The longer essay was on a 10-day leadership/law summit at Georgetown.

Recommendations ranged from great to amazing.

I think you have a very very good chance.
What school are you applying to?

Wheres your SAT 2s i think if ur doing ACTs u might been Math SAT 2 and one other im not sure

just for the record...gw doesnt require sat IIs for admission ed because i didnt send them squat and i got accepted to the elliott school..

SAT IIs are optional for almost all majors at GW

i noticed a few posts where people were trying to say that gw required them for admission ed 1 or 2 and thats just not true..just gotta set the record straight.

They say they take them into consideration if you submit them (I did well on 2, but totally screwed up the third one). They say it won't hurt your chances if you don't, or if they're bad they won't look at them.

i think i made up for it by taking the act since it has 5 sections if you include the writing instead of the usual 3 on the sat.

Oops, sorry guys, I was under the impression you needed them

Thanks Everyone...I think I'm applying to Columbia...Though I'm not sure...oops lol...Too many applications, colleges, scholarships, and stress. I applied to a bunch of other schools UNC, Duke, Stanford, Yale, Davidson..Given the extremely hard admissions process at these schools, I have no idea what will happen. But I'd be ecstatic if I got into GW.
