<p>I agree with QNYergrl; even if you do poorly on the SAT, just submit your ACT (this is what some of my friends did).</p>
<p>but why do I want to waste my time and money??
I'm from the midwest, so most kids just take the ACT here.</p>
<p>With the SAT aside, if you really want to attend NYU, your application fits the profile although it's nothing standout. Your class rank is in the 20 percentile when 67% of NYU freshmen were in the top 10%. Since you're more comfortable with the ACT, maybe you can retake it. Your score is solid, but something in the 30's would defintely improve your application.</p>

<p>Wow, nice improvement in the rank. Upward trends are a big plus for any college. It would be good to take some more AP classes for your senior year, at least three. That way you'd have 5 in total which is a pretty solid amount.</p>
