if i could get straight next semester my rank would go up a bit and my GPA
i estimate 85/551 and possibly 3.63 or something....
i'd either apply to journalism or LAS
doubt I'd get in...is there even a point to applying?

you never know, just apply

you have a good chance but it depends on your major and your essays and EC's.

My EC's:

executive dance marathon board memeber ( a HUGE charity event we have at our school every year), sports editor of school newspaper (possible managing editor next year), Israeli club exec. committee, and NHS possibly next year.

Why do you say I have a good chance?? do you know anyone who got in with my grades?

It's not impossible, but it seems like a bit of a reach. Did you take the SAT yet?

no, but I don't plan on taking the SAT...

I'm going to take that SAT II in the spring

how much of a reach do you really think it is?

anyone???????????!

reach/slight reach

take the sat's

why should I take them?
I don't think I'd do well on them

okay, in that case, i guess the SAT's aren't for you.

isn't SAT 1 a must ? ... o_O

SAT or ACT.

does NYU favor the SAT?

i would apply to CAS journalism or undecided I think

would it make a difference if I did either>?

SAT or ACT, they don't care

Even if you feel you won't do well on the SATs your only a junior and if you take a prep course or diligently study an SAT prep book from now until next fall there's no reason why you wouldn't do at least decently. If you don't do well, you'd have the option of only sending your ACT since you've already taken that.

but why does it matter if I havethe option of sending in either?

I agree with QNYergrl, even if you just go through a study book, you should do fine on the SAT.

but why should I waste the time and money?
