What UMich really likes is individual achievement. Grades and tests are very important, but they love kids who stand out and really excel and what they love to do.

It seems like you've done a lot in art, are you interested in applying to the College of Art and Design? I'm a HS senior and was admitted early action to the A&D college, so I could really help you with that if you're wondering.

You definitely still have to time raise your GPA but other than that, UMich loves great essays as well. It's definitely not true that UMich only admits based on GPAs, because I had a 3.56 W and 4.4 UW, but I go to a super competitive school in Boston and I've been doing a varsity sport for four years on top of a lot of other things. Your transcript seems really fine now and you've got a ton of extracurriculars, which is great. But say if you're compiling a resume or doing the UMich app, focus on the things that are most important to you, and possibly the things you've devoted the most time on. Good luck!

Thanks rosew07! yes, I will be trying to get into the college of art and design and it would be great to have some advice from someone who was admitted! What I'm also considering is possibly doing a joint degree between the college of art and design and either the college of letters, arts, and sciences or the college of education. Do you know anything about the join degree or how hard it is to get into this program?
