Chances? Pleeeease!

Hiyaaa.

I am a current Senior in high school. I come from a high achieving area and I am currently finishing up my high school years at a community college program.

Extra curriculars:
- club soccer for 8 years - team ranked 8th in state at one point
- varsity high school soccer for two years
- work (on and off, currently working at a cafe 12 hrs/week)
- various summer jobs + volunteering
- 200+ volunteer hours and many unique ways of achieving them. i.e. working with disabled kids
- voice lessons
- soccer coach

I have two AMAZING recommendation letters coming in from my teachers.

I had a unique high school experience because I took my junior and senior year classes at a community college through a special program. I will end with a full year of college credit. In this program, half of my classes for junior and senior year are college classes, so they are weighted.

Upward trend in grades!

My GPA is shown below -

Total GPA (9-12) 3.6 UW, 3.8 W
Academic GPA (10-12) 3.7 UW, 3.95 W
UC GPA 3.87 (it's capped at 8 semesters of honors credit)

ACT: 29
E-28
M-31
R-26
S-30

Strong essays.

I'm already admitted into the University of Oregon..

The colleges that I am interested are:

Seattle University
NYU
UC Irvine
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara
UCLA (Reach)
UCB (Reach)
UCSD (Reach)
UC Santa Cruz
Colorado College
Occidental College
Boston University
Cal Poly SLO

Thank you so much for your time!!

Your extracurriculars are good, GPA all right. I would re-take the ACT.

I will chance you on the California Schools:

UCB/UCSD/UCLA: Reach
SLO/UCI/UCD/UCSB: Low Reach/High Match (Depending upon major)
Occidental: High Match (since they accept LOR’s)
UCSC: Match

Intended major will change your chances. UC’s weigh GPA more heavily than test scores and like to see that UC GPA above a 4.0.
LOR’s are not accepted as UC’s, so a disadvantage. Write very good essays and they may be the extra boost you need.

Thanks!
