I'd say your in everywhere. You show a lotta motivation and think all the colleges you are applying to will see that. You have a great GPA, great rank, pretty good ACT score (EXCELLENT considering your school's average). With that and being African American I think your set. But of course these days you can never be so sure, especially for top schools. But I think you can count on being in at least one top school (Stanford, Duke, UPEnn, Yale)

Good luck!

You do have great stats but I never think you can count on being in at least one top school. Love thy safety!

BUMP (10char)

I think that you have a 90% chance for UF

I know the 2006 FTIC stats were 1220 - 1390.

It only costs 3k a year instate. So you could be like alot of other UF scholars that actually made money by going to college.

because of your URM status as an african american male, your stats really look good. I think that if you are really interested in the most competitive schools, you need to really work on those letters of recommendation. They can be the one item that really pushes you over the edge, if an admission committee is questioning whether to admit you. Make sure you pick teachers that can say you are one of the best they have ever taught, that the letters are well written and they they mention more than just "he was a good student" and really go into detail about your contributions to the school and your hard work and motivation.

Thank You, for responding to my post.
