Chances? Preferably in state like Georgia Tech or UGA...

Hey all, I’ve been wondering what my chances look like for the universities that I am applying for. I’m applying to a bunch of colleges. The ones I’m looking at so far are GT(preferred), UGA (preferred if not GT), GSU (safety), UCB, UCLA, UCSD, Cornell, UIUC, UT Austin, UM, Rice, and UMD. I genuinely don’t know my chances, even after much research, and so I would like your input on this. I am an Indian male residing in Georgia.

UW GPA: 3.83
W GPA: 4.17
(Both GPA’s are up until junior year, will probably increase when I graduate)
Rank: I’m in the top 15% of my class
SAT: 1500 composite (780 math/720 reading) (studying a lot to raise this, so not definite)
AP’s taken: Human Geography, Computer Science A, World History, Physics I, Calculus AB/BC, and Chemistry. Planning to take Physics C Mechanics, Computer Science Principals, Statistics, Macroeconomics, and Psychology next year (tl;dr 7 AP’s so far and 5 more next school year)

ECs:
Band - Competitive Marching band 4 yrs in a row, section leader 2 yrs in a row
Boy Scouts - Eagle Scout (highest rank), probably racked up around 200 hours community service
VHPA - Hindu cultural (nonprofit) program, was enrolled for quite a few years and TA’d for one year, probably another 50-ish service hours there
I am a part of NHS, SNHS, and Mu Alpha Theta.

Work experience: Tutor at a nearby tutoring center, and occasional sound tech at a local restaurant

Others: I’m taking a intro gov course at a nearby university right now over the summer.

Would UGA qualify as a safety? My SAT is above average for UGA, but, according to Collegedata, the average GPA is 3.9, so my UW GPA is a bit low. I also don’t know whether my EC’s are good, average, or lacking.

Thanks, all.

what major?

I don’t really know yet, but probably physics. I’m toying with CS and Psych though.

You should be good with UCSD and UM (Miami or Michigan?) I go to UCLA and can say from experience that they really look at apps holistically–write an outstanding essay, and I think you’d be good.
