<p>Okay so the notification deadline is coming up and I'm starting to feel sick. What do others think of my chances?</p>

<p>ACT: 36 (Also 790 on SAT Math)
SAT IIs:
Math 2: 790
Physics: 800
APs:
Physics B, 5
BC Calc, 5
Physics C, (will take) probably 5.</p>

<p>Also a very high level swimmer, being recruited by the CMU coach.</p>

<p>HOWEVER: GPA: 3.5 unweighted, at an extremely good college prep school which is notorious for not inflating grades over the years. Average GPA is about 2.9. School does not weight GPA.
Rank, top 20% (probably... we don't rank).
Most challenging possible courseload, especially wrt math and science.</p>

<p>As a consequence of attending such a school, I will have extremely strong teacher recs in both math/science (from a CMU alum, no less) and in English. I also wrote a very good essay.</p>

<p>What do you think? At any department besides SCS, I'd feel like a sure-fire in, but with SCS I don't feel so confident. :-(</p>
