Oh wait, I didn't realize that the OP is probably asking for someone else's chances...(somehow jimbob and metallicaville doesn't go well with asian female...)

haha no, i am very much a metallica fan, along with iron maiden and the rest!! metal forever :) and jimbob cuz i live in the south. but yeah my interests are political science/government.
I forgot...the summer after junior year I did some research at Harvard--an internship about epidemiology. kinda goes along with public policy.

national debate...eh, lost a bid round this year. too bad :(

Your location will help you, most likely. Not many Asian females with amazing stats down South (you folks tend to center in CT, NY, PA, CA, etc. :p) so I suppose that is a bit unique. Again, what sets you apart? What was your essay (/were your essays) about and what is your passion? What makes you different, and special? Why should Harvard want you?

Dance....I am a major dancer. I learned a classical Asian dance for about 10 years, and this year I gave a solo performance, about 2 hours, 200 people, etc... It's basically a big deal, I spent my whole summer between 10th/11th preparing...It can't really be summed up on an app, I mean "Dance for 10years, performed" doesn't really capture the magnitude of it, not to sound arrogant or anything...It's just a big deal and not all that common. Anway, essay = about my experiences with the dance and also the concert I mentioned.

The other essay....my obsession with intellectual honesty. This isn't academic honesty, it's not about how I don't cheat or anything. I mean, I don't cheat, but that's not what I wrote the essay about...I wrote about how I'm really concerned about doing the right thing intellectually...Supporting one's statements with facts, never putting up with something that isn't true or right or scholarly...It's kind of unique and I don't mean to boast...but my English teacher says she wishes she could write like I can blush So yeah :)

My senior year schedule doesn't have a science and it's only 4 APs...is that Ok? All of my classes are advanced humanities except for AP Calc BC. But I looked on Collegeboard's website and the Harvard page says that the recommended high school credit units include 4 science credits. But I've only done Honors Physics, Chemistry, and AP Bio.
