First off know that it’s hard to chance you without your standardized test scores. . .
Anyway, it’s obvious that you are a good student with an amazing GPA and Class Rank. You also have decent ec’s (although most of your awards won’t help you as they aren’t national or regional but merely school, city, or district wide). You have good leadership positions too. I am sorry to say that being an asain female is about the worst combination you could have (for your sake I pray that you aren’t from NY, NJ, MA, or CA because if you are then you will be hardpressed to get any top 20 schools regardless of what your standardized test scores are) and the schools that you put are crazy competitive. I personally feel that if your scores fall in line with the rest of your resume you will still have almost an impossibly hard time at Princeton, Yale, Stanford, or MIT (I give you about a 2/10 for all of these). Your chances improve for Duke, Northwestern, Cornell, Wash U, and Rice (i give you about a 5/10 to a 6/10 average for these schools). I’m sorry if this isn’t what you wanted to hear but you need to know that unfortunately due to the crazy affirmative action program you will have trouble as a female asian and need to have a decent list of back ups and safeties. Best of luck to you though.

chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/824300-chances-upenn-wharton-ed-will-chance-back-promptly.html

haha, yes… being an asian female = ouch. i’ll definitely be applying to other not-so-crap-shooty schools and safeties. thanks for the input :)

oh, and i’m from the midwest.

curve ball
Being from the midwest is a big bonus as colleges actively push for geographic diversity and most all midwestern states send under about 10 kids a year to ivies and comparable schools. Soley based off of this revalation you can probably go back and add 1/2 a pt to a full point to each of the chances listed above

Can’t really chance without standardized scores, everything else looks good though.

Haha, love the precision

any advice on what I should focus on this year?
