I’m a female high school junior at a pretty small public school in Connecticut…haven’t taken AP exams so far, but here’s whats on my resume…also my SAT’s are estimates of what i think i’ll get, I haven’t taken them yet because I’m only a junior…

BC’s application process has gotten more rigorous over the course of the last few years, but if you get those SAT scores + a little bit and keep with the awesome ECs and grades, I’m sure you’ll do fine (remember to apply EA, even though it’s restrictive, do it, it’ll probably help you)!! CHance me back!

Dear lizad93 : Your 2140 three-way SAT ESTIMATED score is certainly good enough for Boston College and about 100 points over the midpoint. [This is somewhat short of the Honors Program at Boston College however where a 2250+ is really the benchmark for freshman admissions with a Top 5% performance in your High School class.] The key point is that this score is ESTIMATED. Actual execution against this benchmark is the real test, not just stating your goals. If everyone who ESTIMATED their score got to use those numbers, we would have a very different application profile for the SAT standards.

Sports, honor society activity, fine arts (journalism to fill this aspect), and school engagement are all represented by your extra-curricular activities. In closing, you have another 18 months before the close of your senior year and another 13 months before your college applications are due. Be sure to select a broad range of schools (academics and locations) which might address your intended field of study. Good luck!

thanks scottj
i know of course that i cant send in an estimated score, but based on the practice i have done/prep courses i took, this is approximately how i feel i will do, i’ll definitely post my legitimate scores when i take the test (soon)! thanks for your chancing me!

Dear lizad93 : You have heard just about everything that can be told to a junior year High School student. Seriously, once you have some real board scores, then some more critical review can be considered. Be sure to be prepared for both the SAT and ACT exams during your Spring term.

Instead of posting bumps, sit down with your parents or guardians, establish a listing of target schools which you will visit during President’s Week and Easter Break this junior Spring 2010 year. Establish a list of questions that you want answered in your visits to each school. Create a list of decision criteria that you might want to use in choosing a school.
