i'm seriously hoping that i get in.
i don't even care if i go to smeal now, i didn't know it was going to be the hardest to get into. i wish i'd applied undecided.
what do you guys think my chances are?
(in state also)
attended '07 pennsylvania governor's school of excellence for information systems technology at drexel this past summer
national honor society, key club, national society of high scholars, ect ect.

Someone in my school got in with a 2.5 GPAUW, so you’re fine. I don’t know if he is going there though, I try my best not to mingle with students that have lower than a 3.5 GPAUW.

^Knowing one person who got in to UP with an extremely low gpa/stats does not mean anyone with higher gpa/stats will be “fine”.

To OP - I think you have a good shot at UP, but I’m not so sure about SHC.

@tashersXD
…you decide to not mingle with other kids based on their gpa? wow, wow, wow.

i don’t really really care if i get denied to shc, i just really want UP.

I am picky

well i think your more than solid for up, but from my understanding not shc…your gpa seems low, but as you said its all about UP for you and you will DEFINATELY be fine! Good luck!

You have a definite shot at UP campus. Don’t count on SHC though, your GPA is a little low.

“Someone in my school got in with a 2.5 GPAUW, so you’re fine.”

Unless they were an athlete, that’s highly unlikely. The gpa range for %25-75 range of admitted students for UP is a 3.6-3.9. Again, probably an athlete or that person lied to you. Did you ever consider that maybe he knew that you didn’t talk to people with GPAs below a 3.5 and he wanted to use that?

ouch jec…but true lol

Maybe. However, the school i go to keeps data from 2006 to 2008 admissions and statistics point out that someone in between those years got into UP with a 2.02… WGPA
