You have a great GPA, great test scores, and high rigor. Good ECs too. However, these colleges are so competitive, and engineering is such a competitive major on top of that, so nothing is a sure thing. I would consider these reaches and just hope for the best; at this point, it’ll probably come down to how the adcoms view your app. Good luck!

You have great Engineering EC’s but UPenn is a school that likes to see a well-rounded student regardless of their major. Your high test scores and GPA will definitely help you in the application process. Cornell is one of the lesser selective Ivy League Schools (still a highly competitive school) If you were to apply ED to UPenn your chances of getting in would increase by around 9%. I would say you have over a 50% chance of getting into Cornell. As for UPenn I am not sure. Can you chance me?

It’s pretty apparent from your profile that you’re really, really hammering robotics as a big thing for you. While yes, that’s a strong EC, especially for engineering, it looks like you’re hitting it so hard and so repeatedly that you might come off as one-sided. Make sure you find some other side of yourself through the essays, so that schools like Upenn, which do look for well-rounded candidates, don’t have the reaction that you’re one sided. You’ve got a good shot at cornell, lower chance at upenn.

Bump looking for more views

I forgot to add can you chance me for Georgia tech and u Michigan

Georgia Tech - Should be an accept
Michigan - Same as above
Cornell - You have as good a shot as any. Robotics should definitely help. As long as you write decent essays, you will probably be a good candidate. 50/50
Penn - reach, but with essays you never know. Definitely still apply .

Did you ED anywhere?

GTech: probably an accept but you never know
Michigan: ^
Cornell: I think you have fairly good chances
Penn: Penn engineering is pretty brutal especially if you’re not ED, but hey you’re a competitive applicant, may as well go for it

ED’d CMU didn’t get in sadly - I applied for ECE when I didn’t have any background in that

hot darn, you have good stats/ECs! I’m no admissions officer, but I’d say you have a really good shot at Penn. If you don’t get in, I don’t know who the heck they’re looking for. I’m sorry about CMU :frowning: I just got rejected from Stanford this week, I feel your struggle.

Extremely good resume as others have stated above. EC’a are top notch. You have a good shot. But these schools are incredibly competitive. Do u have any connections? Did you make any official school visits or attend any information sessions?

Hopefully you get into both, I think you have a very good chance at getting into arleast one.

Like others have mentioned, it’s going to be pretty hard to get into UPenn and Cornell. Esp. since you’re an ORM. Although, no matter where you end up, you’ll still be pretty successful, judging by your stats.

Here’s my chance me thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1944176-tell-me-what-you-think-thanks.html#latest

I don’t think you should rate your own essays you don’t know how the reader is going to feel
I would rate it 5/10
